The sculptor of the family

They are the work of Pasquale Russo, a sculptor from Calabria and the grandfather of the family that owns this house. His pieces have remained part of the home ever since, alongside the family's everyday life.
Le sculture che accompagnano gli ambienti della casa sono opera di Pasquale Russo, scultore calabrese e nonno della famiglia proprietaria. Sono sempre state parte di questa casa e della sua storia familiare.
The Christ at the Baptistery

His work reaches beyond these rooms. One of his wooden figures of Christ was kept in this apartment for years before it found its permanent place in the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Laterano, where it stands today. Another piece of his is kept in the Basilica of San Salvatore in Lauro.
Le opere di Pasquale Russo non sono rimaste soltanto nella casa di famiglia. Il Cristo ligneo che per anni ha fatto parte di questi ambienti si trova oggi nel cuore di Roma, nel Battistero di San Giovanni in Laterano. Un'altra sua opera è conservata nella Basilica di San Salvatore in Lauro.

“Incredible property, even better than on the pictures. Very spacious, carefully decorated with many wooden sculptures from a renowned artist who was an ancestor of the family (space is family owned). It felt very soulful and a great privilege to be in this space.”

Molto spaziosa e curata nei dettagli, con numerose sculture in legno di un artista rinomato che era un antenato della famiglia (l'appartamento è di proprietà della famiglia). Si respirava una grande atmosfera ed è stato un vero privilegio soggiornare in questo spazio.
